Key responsibilities:
- Develop engineering relationships with key customers*. Support Sales Account Manager in the commercial relationship
- Design, cost, test and release new products to meet the needs of the customer in a timely manner consistent with VPI/VPC processes*.
- Perform calculations, analysis and material selection
- Coordinate lab testing, prototype assembly
- Analyze and evaluate test results
- Perform or Supervise drafter's work as required
- Insures design for Manufacturing/Assembly through cooperation with Mfg Engineering team and tool (injection mold) supplier
- Use Product Development Engineering excellence to improve product design to:
- Resolve quality related problems*
- Correct/improve manufacturing/assembly problems*
- Implement cost reduction*
- Use expertise of hierarchy to help resolve issues. Work together with other LDA CE teams to optimize design solutions.
- Manage controllable expenditures
- Authority: responsibilities with (*) = full authority to take decision

Qualification:
- Bachelor or master degree of chemical or mechanical engineering
- 3+ years of practical experience in similar duties with good hands-on skills, preferably in auto industry;
- Familiar with new product development process in auto industry;
- Skilled in Auto-cad, Pro-E;
- Good communication ability (written, verbal, presentation) in English; be able to work with colleagues in US, Europe.
- TS16949 & 6 sigma is preferred
- Have project management experience; Can work with cross functional team, customers and suppliers closely;
- Project management experience
- Good organizing and planning capability, good at analyzing and solving problems
- Willing to learn new technologies and skills
